Here are the top stories today in Dallas:

  1. State regulators determined two more Dallas Fire-Rescue employees violated Texas emergency medical service rules while caring for patients, increasing the total to six since April. The Texas Department of State Health Services placed the EMS licenses of Russell Hervig and Beau York on probation status for six months after investigating a patient care complaint. Specific details of the emergency calls aren't detailed in available state documents, but it appears to involve the same 16-year-old patient who apparently suffered a diabetic and mental health emergency in February 2020. (The Dallas Morning News)
  2. Dallas police are asking anyone who may know something about the fatal shooting of Tony McIntosh on Oct. 6 to contact them. The 42-year-old was shot in the 5000 block of Haverwood Ln. and later died at the hospital. Police said the suspect and motive surrounding his death are unknown at this time. This is an ongoing investigation. (CBS Dallas / Fort Worth)
  3. SPCA of Texas collected nearly $500,000 for animal care at the 2021 Dallas Fur Ball last week. Animal lovers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area gathered at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas to raise money and celebrate the love of animals. (CultureMap Dallas)
  4. The Redistricting Commission is working to begin the process of redrawing Dallas City Council district lines. Check out what that means for residents. (KERA News)
