No Injuries At Jacksboro Schools In TX Tornado: Report
A tornado touched down in Texas Monday afternoon northwest of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, causing structure damage in Bowie, Jacksboro.
JACKSBORO, TX — No injuries were reported after a tornado that touched down in Jacksboro, Texas, caused damage to Jacksboro Elementary School and Jacksboro High School, according to WFAA.
Jacksboro High School Principal Starla Sanders told WFAA's Cynthia Izaguirre no injuries were sustained at the high school. Kids and staff were in shelters at the elementary school, where no injuries were also reported.
A photo taken inside the elementary school and posted by CBS 11 DFW's Karen Borta shows a ceiling partially caved in with insulation strewn across a hallway. Another photo from CBS shows Jacksboro High School suffered roof damage.

Jacksboro school officials did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Patch.
In the nearby city of Bowie, officials are performing search and rescue operations after multiple structures were damaged, according to KTEN's Amber Nowaski.
