  1. The University of Texas at Dallas has been named one of the "Best of the Best" colleges and universities in the nation for LGBTQ students for the second year in a row. UT Dallas was one of only two universities in the Southwest to make Campus Pride's 2021 Best of the Best list of 30 LGBTQ-friendly colleges and universities. The list includes institutions with the highest scores on LGBTQ-friendly benchmarks for policies, programs, and practices. (Press Release Desk)
  2. Dallas police are searching for a suspect who they say shot and killed a 21-year-old man Friday evening. Dallas and DART police responded to a shooting call at North Lamar Street. Upon their arrival, officers found victim Jabari Griffin shot; Griffin later succumbed to his injuries. The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Dezra Walker-Johnson, fled the scene following the incident and is currently at large. (CBS Dallas / Fort Worth)
