DALLAS, TX — The holiday season has officially arrived in Dallas, which means Christmas-themed events are everywhere this weekend. Whether you're into parades or a more docile walk through the Arboretum, you'll find something to do right here:
- The Dallas Holiday Parade kicks off at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017 at the corner of Commerce and Houston. It ends at Commerce and Harwood.

- Visit TripAdvisor's No. 1 Dallas Attraction, the Dallas Arboretum, to see seasonal decor inspired by Christmas carols.
- When: Now until Jan. 7, 2018. Nighttime exhibits open Wednesdays through Sundays until Dec. 30.
- We’ll have Christmas Music for everyone, plus you can celebrate the Texas Tradition of Tamale Making, and it’s the perfect time to start your gift shopping at the Christmas Market. - Don't miss the annual fundraiser for the Lake Highlands Women’s League on Friday. The event features four neighborhood homes decorated for the holidays, a luncheon and a bazaar. To date, it has raised over $2.5 million for scholarships and neighborhood schools and charities.

The Nutcracker:
- See a production of the famed holiday ballet right here in Dallas.

- "When an unfortunate case of food poisoning prevents the Beaumont Ballet from performing Nutcracker as a fundraiser for the financially ailing book club, the club recruits the Velvet Kittens burlesque troupe, in town on their way to New Orleans and suffering from car troubles. The Kittens reluctantly agree to take on Tchaikovsky, but only one of the book club members—the one with a grudge and an interest in seeing the group’s founder humiliated—realizes exactly what kind of dance the audience will get a look at.
