Woman, 26, Murdered In North Dallas Apartment
The victim was identified as a transgender woman. Police say there is no indication the murder was a hate crime.

DALLAS, TX — Police say the Wednesday murder of a transgender woman in North Dallas was not a hate crime.
Carla Patricia Flores-Pavon, 26, died Wednesday around 4:00 p.m. after Dallas Fire Rescue responded to a call of an unconscious person at her apartment in the 6100 block of LBJ Expressway.
Firefighters who arrived at the scene and called for assistance from police. Flores-Pavon was transported the woman to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Investigators determined she died of homicidal violence, police said in a conference Thursday.
Witnesses told police a Latino man standing around 6-feet tall was seen leaving her apartment. He was described as having dark, short hair.
