Here are the top three stories in Dallas today:

  1. Dallas is the top city for relocation in Texas, according to the PODS Moving & Storage company. The report analyzed data from its 500,000 customers who relocated since January 2021. The data aligned with recent numbers provided by the U.S. Census Bureau. The company cited remote work as the likely cause of the relocation. (CW33 Dallas)
  2. Live music, food trucks, and drinks return to the Dallas Zoo for May's Safari Nights. The exciting event is free with zoo admission. The event series will continue into July with different tribute bands performing throughout. Don't forget to bring blankets, chairs, and snacks. (CW33 Dallas)
  3. Residential code inspectors are identifying unsafe conditions in Dallas apartments. The inspections are meant to ensure that apartments meet the city's standards for housing. The task is daunting since the city has fewer than two dozen trained inspectors for tens of thousands of apartment units throughout Dallas. Texas is regarded as a "landlord-friendly" state.
