12 Hurt After Boat Fails At Lake Travis
Water vessel ran aground at Cypress Club Pointe on Wednesday night, sending six, including three children, to the hospital.
AUSTIN, TX — A dozen people were hurt after a boat ran aground at Lake Travis on Wednesday night.
The incident occurred along the 2100 block of Cypress Club Pointe at around 9:30 p.m., according to Austin-Travis County EMS. In addition to medics at three ambulances, crews with the Pedernales Fire Department and a pair of STAR Flight helicopters also responded.
Among those injured were three adults and an equal number of children, while six others declined to be medically treated. One of the victims, a woman in her 20s, was airlifted to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious injures. A child also was airlifted before being transported to Dell Children's Medical Center with serious injuries. Another pair of children were rushed via ambulance to Dell Children's, while two adult patients were transported to St. David's South Austin Medical Center. .

It's unclear what could have caused the watercraft to run aground.
