2017 Wine, Dine And Jazz Festival Returns To Horseshoe Bay Resort

Annual fall festival offers a weekend of fabulous food, wine and entertainment.

HORSESHOE BAY, TX -- Horseshoe Bay Resort will host its annual Wine, Dine and Jazz Festival from Friday, Nov. 10 - Saturday, Nov. 11 and will feature a weekend of chef cooking demonstrations, live music with jazz-style saxophonist Marion Meadows and jazz artist Richard Johnson, wine tastings, and more.

The highly-anticipated fall event gives guests the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Texas Hill Country wine region and rub elbows with celebrity chefs, musicians and culinary fans. Chef lineup includes luminaries such as Professional Private Chef Danushka Lysek, Justin Turner of Bernie's Burger Bus and Amy Kritzer, founder of Jewish cooking blog What Jew Wanna Eat and author of cookbook Sweet Noshings.

Friday, November 10

Wine Dinner and Auction
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. | Dinner and auction at 7:00 p.m.
● The weekend kicks off with a seated five-course dinner and wine pairing prepared by Horseshoe Bay Resort Executive Chef Jay Hunter in collaboration with the guest chefs participating in the festival. Each course will be paired with wine from the Texas Hill Country.

Saturday, November 11
Celebrity Chef Cooking Demonstrations
11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
● Professional Chef Danushka Lysek begins the cooking demonstrations for the afternoon with cultural foods influenced by her world travels. Lysek won 24 Restaurant Battle, which was followed by TV appearances on CHOPPED, Food Network Star, Cutthroat Kitchen and Comeback Kitchen. After her demonstration, former CHOPPED champion and Owner of Bernie’s Burger Bus Justin Turner will take the stage. The demonstrations will close out with an appearance by Amy Kritzer, who previously starred on Guy’s Grocery Games. She is the author of the cookbook Sweet Noshings and founder of Jewish food blog What Jew Wanna Eat.
Sunset Jazz and Wine Stroll
2-6 p.m.
● The Sunset Jazz and Wine Stroll is a yearly favorite that includes a variety of wine tastings from Hill Country wineries, along with bites from restaurants and caterers such as Vivere Catering, Texas Hill Country Olive Company and Hye Market. Attendees can sip and stroll while enjoying the beautiful fall weather as food vendors compete for the “Silver Spoon Award,” which is given to the best taste of the festival.
Live Music
3-6 p.m.
● World-class jazz artist Richard Johnson will kick off the series of live music for the evening with a lively performance on stage. He will be followed by American saxophonist, composer and contemporary jazz recorder Marion Meadows, who has released 13 albums and is well-known for his unique and smooth jazz style.
