3 Rescued After Car Plunges Off Bridge Into Water In Austin
Water rescue along 11400 block of S. I-35 service road leaves victims with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.
AUSTIN, TX — Medics rescued three people pinned inside a vehicle after a motorist drove off a bridge into water early Saturday, according to emergency officials.
The water rescue occurred along the 11400 block of South Interstate 35 service road northbound, according to Austin-Travis County EMS. A StarFlight medical hospital also made the scene, medics noted.
Medics reported via Twitter that the three patients were transported to St. David's South Austin Medical Center with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries. Two of the patients were described as adults in their late teens while the age of the third victim was not disclosed.

No further details were revealed. It's unclear what caused the car to drive off the bridge.
