4 Adults, 6 Children Hurt In 2-Car East Austin Collision
Austin-Travis County EMS medics said collision occurred along the 13800 block of FM 969 just after 6:30 p.m. on Saturday evening.
EAST AUSTIN, Texas — Ten people — including six children — were injured in a two-vehicle collision in East Austin on Saturday night, medics reported.
Austin-Travis County EMS medics said the collision occurred along the 13800 block of FM 969 just after 6:30 p.m. All told, four adults and six children were transported to the hospital, including a man in his 40s deemed a trauma alert before being transported to Dell Seton Medical Center with injuries deemed serious and potentially life-threatening.
An initial report indicated a patient was pinned to a vehicle that was on fire, further illustrating the severity of this collision. One patient was transported to the hospital via medical helicopter. The six children were transported to Dell Children's Medical Center for treatment of injuries that were deemed not to be life-threatening.
