AUSTIN, TX — First, the bad news: If you live in Texas, you did not win the $132 million prize from Saturday's Powerball jackpot drawing. But there's also some good news: The jackpot for Wednesday's drawing is $40 million, which is nothing to be ashamed about.

Someone in Grand Junction, Colo., matched all the numbers from Saturday's drawing. That jackpot had been rolling over from drawing to drawing without a winner, hence the nine figures. According to lottery officials, it was the biggest prize won in Colorado, with a $90 million jackpot won by a tow truck driver in Rifle, Colo., three years ago.

As it happens, the most recent gigantic prize was purchased at an outlet called the Lucky Me convenience store. How appropriate. The winning numbers in Saturday's drawing were 17-18-24-25-31 and Powerball 24. The winner has until March 15, 2018, to claim the prize.

The next drawing for the reset $40 million prize (again, a pretty good amount of money in its own right) is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 20. The cash option is an estimated $25.4 million.

Shortly after 10 p.m., the numbers appear in a crawl on most local television broadcasts. You also can view the Webcast of the official drawings. Of course, if you go to bed early (and good for you for doing so!) and miss those viewing options, we've got you covered. Check back later on Wednesday, and Patch will provide you with the winning numbers.
