- On Thursday, April 21, "The Austin City Council reviewed several agenda items for approval," however, "council members postponed the vote for a promising income program that could ease the financial burden weighing many families down." Following are the items: "The 2021-22 Austin water budget will increase by $1.4 million for 'operational resiliency' at drinking water treatments. - On Friday, April 22, the new "Meatless Butcher" made its debut at the Central Market Westgate store located at 4477 S. Lamar Blvd. Meatless Butcher provides "many of the options a typical butcher" does, but all items are "plant-based and prepared daily by Central Market's talented chefs" and include items like "meatless chicken wings, featuring tofu, seitan, vegan chicken stock, and garlic," as well as meatless brisket and meatless chicken and beef fajitas." - On Friday, June 10, the United States will be playing its "World Cup warmup match against 170th-ranked Grenada at Q2 Stadium in Austin." This World Cup game is "part of the CONCACAF Nations League" and will be the United States' "third of six World Cup warmups."
