Harmony Public Schools is proud to announce that 146 of its exceptional educators have been awarded designations through the Texas Education Agency's (TEA) Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program. Together, these designations generate a combined total of $1,701,624 in funding designed to reward, recruit, and retain outstanding teachers.

The recognized teachers earned distinction under TIA performance standards, which measure student growth and classroom teaching excellence. Under Texas law, at least 90% of TIA allotment funds are designated directly for teacher compensation on the campuses where the designated educators teach.

"This is a massive achievement for our teachers, our district, and our entire community," said Area Superintendent Dr. Mustafa Altindag. "Our educators go above and beyond every single day to foster growth and excellence in their classrooms. These TIA designations and the $1.7 million in total allotments are a direct reflection of their hard work, dedication, and measurable impact on student success."

What is the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA)?
Established by the Texas Legislature as part of House Bill 3 in 2019, the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) was created to provide a pathway for top-performing teachers to earn high-level compensation while encouraging them to remain in the classroom, particularly in high-need and rural schools.

Key features of the TIA program include:

"Providing our educators with competitive compensation and recognizing their expertise is essential to building strong schools," added Altindag. "We look forward to building on this success and supporting even more of our teachers in reaching these prestigious designations in the future."
