Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin Receives an “A” Leapfrog Grade
Ascension Seton Hays, Ascension Seton Northwest and Ascension Seton Williamson also receive "A" grades from The Leapfrog Group
Nov. 6, 2023 – Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin, Ascension Seton Hays, Ascension Seton Northwest and Ascension Seton Williamson all earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit watchdog that sets standards for excellence in patient care. Leapfrog Assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” grade to general hospitals across the country based on more than 30 national performance measures in preventing errors, accidents, injuries and infections. Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin has received an “A” grade for five years in a row now from The Leapfrog Group.
The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program exclusively based on hospital prevention of medical errors, infections and injuries that account for more than 500 patient deaths per day nationally. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public. Grades are updated twice annually in the fall and spring.
