Ascension Seton and UT Health Austin celebrate Donate Life Month

Two events recognize living kidney donors and kidney transplant recipients

Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas and UT Health Austin celebrated National Kidney Month and Donate Life Month yesterday and today with events honoring living kidney donors and kidney transplant recipients, including living kidney donor, Mark Scotch, who is biking from Lubbock, TX to New Orleans, LA to raise awareness of living and deceased kidney donation.

Through a collaboration between Ascension Seton and UT Health Austin, the Adult Abdominal Transplant Center at Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas diagnoses, treats, and manages the care of adult patients (18 years and older) in need of a kidney, pancreas, simultaneous kidney and pancreas transplant, as well as those willing to be a living kidney donor. Our care team includes highly specialized transplant providers, who work with patients to develop individualized treatment plans. They utilize the latest research-proven methodologies to successfully treat patients in need of an organ transplant.
