Ascension Texas names Ashley Dickinson Chief Operating Officer

Ascension Texas has announced Ashley Dickinson as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). In her role as COO of Ascension Texas, Ashley will lead the development and operational realization of the Ascension Texas strategic plan with a focus on performance outcomes in quality, experience and overall operating results.

Ashley has more than 14 years of senior leadership experience in healthcare with extensive knowledge in leading strategic initiatives, service line development and physician recruitment. In her previous role, she served as Chief Executive Officer of Northwest Health in Indiana, leading strategic growth and operations for all three system hospitals, an ambulatory surgery center, the medical group, EMS and the system’s first graduate medical education program with the addition of its Family Medicine residency.

Prior to her CEO role, Ashley also served as COO of Northwest Health - Porter, and later was named CEO for Northwest Health - La Porte and Northwest Health - Starke where she significantly expanded healthcare services throughout La Porte and Starke counties with new technologies and the addition of new physicians.

Ashley earned her Bachelor’s in Finance from Oklahoma State University and her MBA and MSHA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
