Joan Ross, BSN, MSM has accepted the role of chief operating officer at Ascension Seton Hays. In her role, Joan is responsible for overall operations and financial stewardship of Ascension Seton Hays, including continued development of key programs such as cardiovascular care, acute care surgery, trauma and women’s services.
Joan has more than 35 years of experience in healthcare leadership, including operations, clinical programs, talent management and quality improvement in national organizations. She most recently served as the EVP/COO for St. Mary Medical Center, a member of The Trinity Health System, St. Vincent Charity Medical Center and Bon Secours Health System. Throughout her career, she has led teams to successfully achieve strategic hospital clinical program and facility growth, notable workforce development outcomes, financial stewardship/improvements and improved clinical outcomes.

Joan received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Otterbein College and her Master's of Science in Management from Troy State University.
