Austin-Based Four Hands Partners With Fuse Home
Four Hands has worked closely with the Dutch-owned design company, known for sourcing innovative new materials, for the last five years.
AUSTIN, TEXAS — Austin-based Four Hands, a designer and global importer of trendsetting lifestyle home furnishings, announced a strategic partnership with Fuse Home to bolster the brand’s ongoing commitment to and investment in original design, officials said on Tuesday.
Four Hands has worked closely with the Dutch-owned design company, known for sourcing innovative new materials, for the last five years while growing their upholstery business, officials explained. "The partnership has been so symbiotic that Fuse Home will now design exclusively for Four Hands customers in North America," Four Hands officials added.
With 20 years of design and manufacturing experience, Fuse Home founders Will Jonkheer and Kees Weijers have focused their careers on superior craftsmanship, working with a global base of customers in wholesale, retail, commercial, and hospitality industries, officials said.

Four Hands and Fuse Home have also established a new design and prototype workshop in the Philippines. With an in-house sample team, the shop will have the capacity to develop both upholstery and case good prototypes for Four Hands, which allows them autonomy to develop their own samples to ship anywhere in their global supply chain for manufacturing, thus speeding up the design process and cutting costs, according to a company press advisory.
“We continue to be inspired by Four Hands’ growth strategy and are honored to join their hardworking team to continue the growth of a truly first class upholstery program,” said Kees Weijers, Fuse Home Co-Founder. “Some of the first iterations of our collaboration will launch this spring, including the Taryn and Rowen chairs and the Judd and Diana sofas.”

Officials noted that new upholstery products designed by Four Hands with Fuse Home will be displayed at the upcoming High Point Market in High Point, N.C. from April 6-10.
