Austin Community College Fashion Incubator Set For Debut

Grand opening scheduled Tuesday, April 30, to showcase facility offering technical training for those in the burgeoning fashion industry.

AUSTIN, TX — Austin Community College has scheduled the grand opening of its high-tech Fashion Incubator at Austin Community College on Tuesday.

The incubator provides career-technical training on state-of-the-art technology for those setting their sights on the fashion industry. With the slogan "Where Creativity Meets Commerce," the offering "...prepares aspiring designers and established entrepreneurs for success in our of our city's most economically promising industries," officials wrote on the site's website.

Funded in part by the City of Austin, the 7,500-square-foot facility offers career-technical training, transferable credits, a residency program, leasable space, and more.

Future fashion designers, designers-in-residence, members of the local fashion industry and the public are invited to celebrate the facility's grand opening on Tuesday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at ACC Highland, Building 4000. The ACC Fashion Incubator is located on the first floor.

Officials ask would-be attendees to park at ACC Highland. Enter from West Highland Mall Boulevard and Jonathan Drive. Look for directional signage once you enter Building 4000. Those unable to attend can watch the grand opening celebration on live stream.
