Austin Cop Charged With Sexual Assault Of A Child
Lt. Dustin Lee, who's been on the force for some 23 years, is behind bars in Williamson County under $150,000 bail, records show.

ROUND ROCK, TX — A police lieutenant with the Austin Police Department was arrested in Williamson County on a charge of sexually assault of a child, jail records indicated on Monday.
According to Williamson County Jail records, Lt. Dustin Paul Lee was booked into the county Jail on Sunday. At last check on Monday afternoon, he was still behind bars under a $150,000 bail. In a statement to local media, the APD said they were aware of the arrest of the officer, who heads up the downtown area command while reportedly overseeing the department's crisis intervention team.
"The Austin Police Department is aware of the allegations against Lieutenant Dustin Lee," the APD said in an emailed statement. "Our department is cooperating with Round Rock Police Department (RRPD) who will be conducting the criminal investigation. In addition, we have started an administrative investigation."

The APD said Lee has been with the department for about 23 years, and is currently assigned to the Downtown Area Command. He has been placed on restricted duty, APD officials added.
APD officials referred all further questions to the Round Rock Police Deparment. "There will be no on-camera interviews and no additional information at this time," officials added.
