Austin-Area Educators: Target Stores Launch 'Teacher Prep Event'

AUSTIN, TX — Saturday is the first day of the annual Teacher Prep Event staged by Target stores offering a 15 percent discount to educators on select classroom supplies.

The event runs from July 13-20. It's easy for teachers to unlock the discount by submitting their teacher ID and other identifying information on an online form. Once done, participating teachers will receive a coupon via email that can be used in-store or online.

Those eligible for the discount includes not only teachers but those working in daycare centers, early childhood learning centers and home schooling. Bear in mind that certain items are excluded from the discount, including electronics, backpacks, lunch bags, sleepwear and swimwear.
