Today we'll dive into:
- Austin Energy is offering up to $600 for customers who purchase e-bikes!
- A shooting on I-35 leaves one person in critical condition.

Here are the top stories in Austin today:
1) One person was taken to the hospital with critical injuries after a shooting on I-35 on Sunday. APD says the suspect remains at large and that they do not currently have a description. Head over to CBS Austin for more on this developing story.
2) Early voting for the City of Austin's runoff election starts this coming Thursday, Dec. 1 runs and runs through Friday, Dec. 9. Election Day is on Tuesday, Dec. 13. The runoff election includes the election of our next mayor and for Austin City Council Districts 3, 5, and 9. KXAN has more on the upcoming election.
3) A nonprofit is on a mission to increase the number of people working in health care and across the Lone Star State. The Statesman reports that "Dwyer Workforce Development bought Regency Integrated Health Services for $590 million in September" and subsequently acquired more than 50 nursing and rehabilitation centers in Texas. The money earned from the 50+ centers goes back into healthcare training through the organization's Dwyer Scholars program. The nursing and rehabilitation centers Dwyer took over in the area include: Brodie Ranch, Heritage Park, Onion Creek, Riverside, Southpark Meadows, West Oaks and Windsor. 4) Good news: Austin Energy is doubling rebates for customers who buy electric bicycles! Starting January 1, 2023, here's how much you can get back:
- $500-$999 e-bike = $200 rebate
- $1,000-$1,999 e-bike = $400 rebate
- $2,000+ e-bike = $600 rebate
