Austin Firms Give Concertgoers Discounted Rides To Venues

Lyft and C3 have teamed up in offering discounted rides to music lovers in an effort to mitigate road congestion.

AUSTIN, TX — Any concertgoer in Austin is painfully aware of the challenges in finding parking while heading to the musical venue, and homeowners are also frustrated with lines of cars fronting their homes during musical events.

That reality has prompted Lyft and C3 to team up in providing ticket holders with ride discounts to and from C3’s venues. By working with C3 at its local music venues as well as neighborhood organizations, Lyft is reducing congestion in the surrounding neighborhoods and helping Austinites get to and from concerts, officials said.

Here's how it works: Concert attendees receive discounted ride offers in C3’s “Know Before You Go” email sent in advance of upcoming shows at Scoot Inn, Stubb’s and Emos.
