Austin PD Seeks Suspects In North Austin Store Robbery, Looting

Two women are being sought in the incident at a 7-Eleven store during which they were accompanied by six more people, one of them armed.

AUSTIN, TX — The Austin Police Department seeks help from the public in identifying a pair of female robbery suspects.

The pair was involved in an aggravated robbery that occurred on June 1 at around 2:45 a.m. at the 7-Eleven convenience store located at 1822 Rutland Drive, police said in an advisory. Police issued surveillance camera images of the suspects seen entering and exiting the store before returning less than a minute later with two more women and four male suspects, police said.

The four males, one of whom was armed, all went behind the counter and demanded money from the clerk while holding her at gunpoint, police said, while the other suspects looted the store.

Police described the first suspect:

  • Black female.
  • Estimated to be between 19 and 25 years of age.
  • Medium skin tone.
  • Medium build.
  • Last seen wearing a grey or white tank top, short shorts, black tennis shoes with white soles and a cloth facemask

The second suspect was described as:

  • Black female.
  • Estimated to be between 19 and 25 years of age.
  • Light skin tone.
  • Long hair (possibly extensions).
  • Heavy build.
  • Last seen wearing a bright green long sleeve undershirt with t-shirt layered over it and black pants.
