12-Year-Old Austin Runaway Found Safe

Robert Del Bosque, 12, had last seen along the 7200 block of Teaberry Drive on Sept. 12 before a report was made the following day.

UPDATE: Police on Wednesday, Sept. 18, issued a press advisory alerting the boy had been found safe.

AUSTIN, TX — Austin police on Tuesday issued a plea for help from the public in locating a missing boy who hasn't been seen in five days since running away from home.

Police said Robert Del Bosque, 12, was last seen along the 7200 block of Teaberry Drive on Sept. 12 before a report was made the following day. Law enforcement officials said concern for the boy's welfare is heightened given his young age and an existing medical condition.

Photos of the child was released in the hopes someone might recognize him and alert as to his whereabouts. Anyone seeing him is urged to call 9-1-1 immediately. Tips also can be submitted by downloading the Austin Police Department mobile app, Austin PD, for free on iPhone and Android.
