Austin Police Seek Help Identifying Store Robbery Suspect

Police seek help in locating a suspect involved in three aggravated robberies of convenience stores over the last two weeks.

AUSTIN, TX — Police seek help from the pubic in identifying a suspect involved in three aggravated robberies of convenience stores occurring over the last two weeks.

To that end, police released a description and surveillance camera images of the suspect who is said to have threatened employees while wielding a firearm before fleeing each scene with an undetermined amount of cash and cigarettes, police said in a press advisory.

  • Friday, Feb. 14, at 9:57 p.m., 2157 Gaston Place.
  • Saturday, Feb. 15, at 8:55 p.m., 500 Springdale Rd.
  • Sunday, Feb. 23, at 11:35 p.m., 7101 Ed Bluestein Blvd.

The suspect is described as a black male with long braids or dreadlocks past his shoulders, a long, thin goatee tied in a ponytail with a rubber band and a mustache. The suspect is described as being between 30 to 40 years old of medium build and standing between five feet, eight inches and five feet, ten inches. He was last seen wearing a plain dark blue baseball cap, a dark zip-up hoodie or jacket, blue jeans and dark gray or black tennis shoes with a small white logo and white soles.
