Austin Police Seek Man In Attempted Child Kidnapping, Assault

The incident occurred on Jan. 30 at around 6:30 p.m. at an apartment complex along the 2600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

AUSTIN, TX — Police seek a suspect in a recent attempted aggravated sexual assault of a child/kidnapping incident in central Austin, officials said on Tuesday.

The incident occurred on Jan. 30 at around 6:30 p.m. at an apartment complex along the 2600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. No further details on the case were disclosed.

Anyone with information about the identity of or the whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call the Crime Stoppers tip Line at (512) 472-TIPS (8477), the APD Child Abuse Unit at (512) 974-6880 or 9-1-1. Those with information also can submit tips by downloading APD’s mobile app, Austin PD, for free on iPhone and Android.
