Austin Police Seek Public's Help Finding Missing Woman

AUSTIN, TX — Police issued a plea from the public for help searching for a missing elderly woman who hasn't been see since Friday afternoon.

Lillie Jackson Decuire, 74, was last seen at around 6:45 p.m. along the 500 block of Canyon Ridge Drive. In an emailed advisory, police said Decuire was last seen walking away from the gas pumps at the HEB gas station located at 500 Canyon Ridge Dr. at approximately 3:15 p.m.

Police said Decuire is believed to be on foot and her whereabouts are unknown. Her advanced age and existing medical conditions heighten concern for her welfare, police said.

Police said the woman is five feet, one inch tall and weighs about 275 pounds. She has balding black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a mid-length purple dress and black and brown leopard slippers. A photo of the missing woman was released in the hopes someone else might recognize her and alert police.

Anyone who recognizes the woman is asked to call 9-1-1 or the missing persons unit at (512) 974-5250 during the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
