Austin Police Seek Public's Help Identifying Skeletal Remains

If you have any information on this case, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 512-472-TIPS. You can remain anonymous.

AUSTIN, TX - The Austin Police Department is asking the public for help identifying human remains found earlier this month.

According to APD, on Sunday, Nov. 3, a property owner was checking their fence line when they discovered partial skeletal remains on an adjoining property. Austin police officers, homicide detectives and Travis County Medical Examiner’s office investigators were then called to the scene. The size and density of the woods, however, limited the initial search.

On Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019, the Travis County Search and Rescue team was called in to conduct a more thorough search of the area, police said. The team was successful in locating additional remains.
