Austin’s Olivia Harper Fuels Inspiration
From Silence to Strength: Olivia Harper's Inspiring Rise in the World of Horsepower

At just 12 years old, Olivia Harper, stepped into the world of modeling with a spark that caught the keen eyes of her supportive parents. Born with bilateral hearing loss, Olivia faced challenges that could have dimmed her light, but instead, she transformed them into a powerful narrative of resilience, faith, and purpose.

Today Olivia, better know as Liv, a celebrated model, philanthropist, and key member of the globally syndicated The JP Emerson Show, journey powerfully showcases the strength discovered in embracing one’s unique path.
Growing up in Austin, Liv's childhood was marked by moments of isolation. Unable to fully participate in activities like group conversations in noisy settings or phone calls, experiences many take for granted, she often felt less than her peers. “Conversations in loud places or even simple phone calls were trying and often left me feeling like I wasn’t as good as others,” she shares via text, one of three means of communication most often used today by the twenty-nine-year-old, recalls Harper. Yet, these struggles only fueled her determination to rise above, supported by a loving family and an unwavering belief in her worth.

“My parents always told me, ‘Your value isn’t defined by what you can’t do, but by the love and courage you bring to everything you do,’” she reflects. “That belief they instilled in me became the foundation of my confidence and drive.”
While Olivia faced challenges due to her bilateral hearing loss, what she could do—and did with unwavering focus—was pursue her education with a profound sense of purpose. Harper's academic journey is nothing short of remarkable. Despite her hearing impairment, she excelled in school, never allowing it to become a crutch. Her perseverance culminated in earning a master’s degree in marketing, a feat she accomplished while juggling a demanding career as a print model.

“Working in print versus live shows allowed me to find my cues and direction without struggling to understand what may be said in real time,” Olivia shares. “The clients are seeing the products, not my impairment, which gave me the freedom to shine confidently.” Traveling the world for photo assignments, she worked tirelessly through college and graduate school, building a portfolio that spans continents and showcases her ability to captivate audiences with her grace and authenticity.
Her hearing loss, far from being a hindrance, became a cornerstone of her identity. “Through every trial, I’ve come to see my challenges not as disabilities, but as divine gifts from God, shaping me into who I am meant to be,” Olivia shares. “I am deeply thankful for the incredible people God has placed in my life—their love and support have been my strength. I stand not as less than anyone, but as someone perfectly crafted, grateful for every moment of my journey. My hope is to inspire others to believe in themselves as fiercely as God believes in me, to embrace their unique beauty, and to live with unwavering gratitude for who they are.”
For Harper, her connection with JP Emerson began when she learned of his reputation as more than just a host. Described online as “a special human who inspires with his kindness” and “a visionary who lifts others up,” JP’s philanthropy and warmth resonated with Olivia. “I was nervous to step out of my comfort zone and connect with JP, but I’m grateful every day that I did,” she says. “His heart for helping others, especially kids and families in the automotive and racing space, inspires me to be better and do more.” That connection has blossomed into a dynamic partnership, with Harper serving as the show’s PR, marketing, and distribution specialist.
As a representative of The JP Emerson Show, she has attended events across the country, where she’s been overwhelmed by the support from both the show’s staff and its listeners. “The automotive and racing communities have embraced me without hesitation,” she shares. “I’m in awe of the kindness I’ve experienced and the platform to share uplifting stories. Working with JP and the show has shown me the power of storytelling to inspire and connect people.” Her role involves not only promoting the show but also amplifying the incredible philanthropy JP provides, from supporting children’s charities to celebrating unsung heroes in the industry.
“JP’s kindness and vision have given me a platform to share stories that matter,” Olivia says. “I’m honored to be part of a show that doesn’t just talk about cars but celebrates people—their dreams, their struggles, and their triumphs. JP’s commitment to making a difference reminds me every day that we all have the power to change lives.”

Harper's passion for inclusivity drives her current projects with the show, where she’s working to make its content even more accessible to diverse audiences. “I’ve always known that even though I may not hear like others, I love communicating and sharing stories that uplift,” she says. “I won’t let another day pass without letting the world know they are valued and worthy of greatness.”
From her early days as a young model to her current role as a philanthropist and media professional, Olivia Harper’s journey is a powerful reminder that challenges can become catalysts for greatness. With her faith, resilience, and heart for others, she continues to inspire Austin and beyond, proving that every story—especially hers—is worth telling.
