Austin SXSW 2018: More Speakers Announced For Arts, Music & Technology Conference

Author Tim O'Reilly, Teen Vogue Editor-In-Chief Elaine Welteroth and songwriter Savan Kotecha among those attending next year.

AUSTIN, TX — The lineup for next year's SXSW is shaping up nicely.

After recently announcing keynote speaker Ta-Nehisi Coates would be on hand come March, organizers of the arts, music and technology conference announced more speakers for next year's conference. Top innovators scheduled to speak at SXSW 2018 include Tim O'Reilly (author of WTF? What's the Future and Why It's Up to Us), Elaine Welteroth (Editor-in-Chief of Teen Vogue) and Savan Kotecha (songwriter for The Weeknd, Katy Perry, Maroon 5 and other chart-topping artists), organizers said.

In addition to Coates, other recently announced speakers include Mark Cuban (Shark Tank), Audrey Gelman (The Wing), Dr. Fei-Fei Li (Google Cloud), Joseph Lubin (Ethereum), Charlie Rose (60 Minutes), Hasan Minhaj (The Daily Show), Alisa Vitti (Flo Living) and many more.

Register before the end of the day on Friday, Sept. 8 to save more than 35 percent on the walk-up rate, organizers said. After buying their badge, would-be SXSW attendees can book their hotel room via SXSW Housing and Travel. "Plenty of convenient downtown lodging options are still available, but most will sell out soon," SXSW organizers said.
