For the rest of you — hopeless romantics or those alerted upon seeing this story acting now through a sense of self-preservation — Patch has got your back. We've assembled a list of some of the best events designed to celebrate the day of love on Feb. 14 — and the days before and after the amorous date .

Antonelli's Cheese Shop in Hyde Park has scheduled a special event on the day devoted to love titled "Perfect Pairings: A Valentine's Day Chocolate & Cheese Tasting." Participants will eat through seven "...perfect, chocolate-y pairings, along with extra goodies like fresh Easy Tiger bread, olives and nuts," organizers write on the event page. Chocolates from around the world will be featured, along with a discussion about the artisanal American producers and recipes. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. ahead of 6:30 p.m. start time. This Oaxacan restaurant in the heart of Rainey Street is serving a five-course tasting menu on Valentine's Day. At $52 per person, the menu includes delectable dishes such as seared scallops in an herbal mole verde, Mexican-style beef tartare, roasted cauliflower with almond mole, and chocolate and raspberry lava cake. The tasting menu must be ordered for the entire table and does not include taxes and gratuity. El Naranjo will be serving its regular food and beverage menus in addition to its holiday tasting menu.

If you really want to impress your date for Valentine's Day this year, you might be interested in the $1,000 three-course dinner for two. That's not a typo. Fleming's will offer three tiers in a prix fixe menu, with the top one being that $1,000 option. All three are extravagant, decadent meals offering a "special gift" the Fleming's folks describe as an "exquisite" one from a jeweler.
Fleming’s is going all out this year, offering three different versions of this singular experience at different price points, each with distinct Champagne options and gift choices. All three versions will include the choice of a gift for either her OR him, Fleming's officials said.
The three-course prix fixe menu includes an amuse-bouche of seared scallops with creamy goat cheese grits, caviar, prosciutto, roasted red pepper and lime-butter sauce, and an optional wine pairing:
- Starter: Choice of mushroom bisque with truffle cream and thyme or beet salad with red onion, pistachios, Campari tomato, goat cheese and honey-lime vinaigrette.
- Entrée duo: Filet mignon plus a choice of North Atlantic lobster tail or colossal shrimp with herb-lemon butter sauce.
- Dessert: White chocolate bread pudding served with dark chocolate and raspberry infused whipped cream and topped with warm raspberry champagne sauce.

A fine-dining restaurant located at Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa, Stories has unveiled its Valentine’s Day menu. Available between Feb. 12 and Feb. 16, the menu features everything from Blue Point Oysters harvested from Long Island Sound and composed Beef Wellington to dessert options including a duet of sponge cake layered with house-made vanilla whipped cream and strawberry filling, joined by a smooth chocolate pot de crème topped with Luxardo cherries.
As Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa’s signature restaurant, Stories features farm-to-table dishes in a rustic setting. The restaurant’s menu features everything from premium cut steaks and fresh seafood to vegetarian selections and handcrafted salads paired with a wide selection of handcrafted cocktails, fine wines, and local beers.
