Austin Valentine's Day 2019 Guide

It's never too early to start planning that romantic outing with your love, and Patch has got you covered, For Galentine's Day too!

AUSTIN, TEXAS — Love it or hate it, Valentine's Day is right around the corner, and it's never too early to plan for that romantic evening with your significant other. Disregard the date at your own peril if you're with someone, as you will likely hear about it if you choose to do nothing.

For the rest of you — hopeless romantics or those alerted upon seeing this story acting now through a sense of self-preservation — Patch has got your back. We've assembled a list of some of the best events designed to celebrate the day of love on Feb. 14 — and the days before and after the amorous date .

We'll continually update the list as the big day draws near. Check out the list below for this intent on honoring the day. As for the rest of you, you're on your own.

Those celebrating at home might want to toast in a quintessentially Texas way. Twang Texas-based Twang provided Patch with some lovely cocktail recipes created with regional spirit brands — Austin's Deep Eddy Vodka and Dulce Vida Tequila and San Antonio's Seer Sucker Gin — to "Texify" the drinking experience. See those recipes by clicking here.

One of those Twang drinks is Raspberry Gin Fizz with Twang-A-Rita Unwind Lime pictured below. Looks delicious, doesn't it?

PLUCKERS WING BAR

6406 North IH-35, Ste 2949, Austin, TX 78752

Phone: (512) 454-9464

We know what you're thinking. What could possibly be romantic about a meal of chicken wings. Delicious, yes, but there's no elegant way of eating chicken wings. That alone is anathema to true romance, particularly the blossoming kind when love is new and couples are getting to know each other. Gnawing on chicken wings while writhing and twisting the bone to extract every bit of meat with juices dripping one's chin and one's hands soaked with grease...why, that could spell the death of young, blossoming romance, you might be thinking.

And you'd be right. Instead, Pluckers Wing bar's Linc location will be staging its popular annual Anti-Valentine’s Day celebration on Feb. 14 at 9 p.m. Featured will be a special version of Pluckers' infamous Pluck Hunt, the scavenger-hunt style game guests can play in their seat. Hosted by 101X, the emcees will ask teams to complete fun challenges and search for objects on their phones. The top scoring team will win a pair of SXSW wristbands. In addition to this fun celebration, all Texas locations will offer $1 Bud Lights and 75-cent wings on Valentine’s Day

For more information, please visit www.Pluckers.com or download the Pluckers app now available on iTunes and Google Play.
