Austin Weekend Weather: Cold Start To New Year
A calm, warm weekend will give way to a cold, windy and potentially wet New Year's Day.

AUSTIN, TX — We'll be ushered into 2018 with a chilly New Year's Day, as temperatures are expected not to top 33 degrees Monday. The rest of the weekend preceding the holiday is expected to be much warmer, with high temperatures reaching up to 62.
We can expect calm skies and warm air until Saturday night, when a 20 percent chance of rain is expected. That chance of rain will last through Sunday night, with wind gusts up to 25 mph blowing through the city and a low temperature of 26.
New Year's Day, the high temperature will drop to 33, with a north wind around 15 mph spiked with gusts of up to 25 mph.
