Austin Woman Shops Valentine's Day Gifts at HEB. One Shocks Her.

An Austin woman finds a mysterious and hilarious novelty product in the Valentine’s Day gift section of her local HEB. Here’s what it is and why it shocked her and the viewers of her video.

TikTok creator Cait (@caitlindefaria) posted a video with her HEB discovery over the weekend. “Guys, look what I just found at HEB,” she says to start the video. “I don’t know how to feel about this. It’s the Orb Easy Sqweezy Super Stretchy Pickle. I’m gonna grab one.”

Cait picks up one of the pickles and squeezes it. It looks like several different body parts all at one time. “Oh my—bro,” she says. “You’re joking. I don’t like that.”

Viewers React to the HEB Valentine’s Day ‘Squeezy’ Pickle

In the comments section of the video, viewers expressed disbelief at the Orb Easy Sqweezy Super Stretchy Pickle. The package boasts that it stretches up to 4.5 feet.

“I’m too immature for this,” admitted one person.

“Diabolicabl that it’s in the Valentine’s section and that you kept playing with it,” wrote a second person. “Also, what HEB was this?” Cait replied, “Are you asking for a friend?”

A third person said, “The fact that it looked empty like it’s been selling.”

An HEB employee revealed that is exactly what’s going on. “As someone who works the department that they’re in,” they wrote. “I get uncomfortable every time I see the box to stock it. We’ve sold out four times.”

A mother said, “My son saw it today and begged for it and I said absolutely not.”

What is the Orb Easy Sqweezy Super Stretchy Pickle?

Orb Toys is a company that sells slimes, charms, plushes, 3-D printed toys, and other novelties. Its Easy Sqweezy Stretchy Pickle can be found in stores like Walmart and online platforms like Amazon. There’s also an Easy Sqweezy Giant Stretchy Pickle that goes up to 6-feet long.

According to the Amazon ad copy, the pickle is made from an “extra-strength Thermoplastic Rubber” that is intended for stress relief of the platonic variety.

If the pickle shape is what freaks you out, the toy also comes in banana, eggplant, cheese, brain, and several different kitten characters.

The reactions to this stocking stuffer among the public are mixed. One Reddit user posted to r/Target three months ago to say, “I never want to pick up one of these ever again.”

Another person said, “Not gonna lie, I found one and was keeping it in our ambient room because it was kinda funny to mess with. It was disgusting due to the horrible amount of dirt it had picked up so I’m kinda glad it disappeared.”

Someone else replied, “We’ve been having a squishy banana floating around the store for a couple weeks. More dirt every time it pops up.”
