AUSTIN, TX — The public is invited to attend an upcoming meeting of the Texas Department of Transportation's Bicycle Advisory Committee to ensure bicyclists' perspectives are included for planning purposes.

The committee's next meeting is scheduled on July 15 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at 200 E. Riverside Dr., Building 200, Conference Room D.

TxDOT's Bicycle Advisory Committee (BAC) advises the Transportation Commission on bicycle issues to help ensure the bicyclist’s perspective will be considered in the development of departmental policies affecting bicycle use, including the design, construction, and maintenance of roadways. The BAC is composed of bicyclists and other interested individuals who represent various backgrounds and perspectives from across the state. Eleven members are selected by the Commission to serve voluntary, three-year terms.
