Boat Crashes Into Wall At Lake Austin
Medics were able to retrieve boat's human occupant from the water just before 12:30 a.m. after crash but were unable to locate his dog.
AUSTIN, TX —A boat reportedly crashed into a wall at Lake Austin early Tuesday, prompting medics to descend to the area in search of a victim.
The incident occurred just before 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, according to Austin-Travis County EMS medics writing on Twitter. Medics were able to rescue the boat's occupant, a man in his 30s, before he was transported to South Austin Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Despite an extensive search, the man's dog was not located in the collision's aftermath, medics reported.

The water rescue occurred at the Penny Backer Bridge part of the park, medics said. It's unclear what may have caused the boat's operator to crash into the barrier.
