The 9th annual gala returns with six powerhouse teams and a night of drag with purpose.
The countdown begins to one of Austin’s high-impact LGBTQIA+ fundraisers. Unite the Fight returns Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, at the Fairmont Austin Hotel for a night of performance, purpose and pride. The annual drag competition fundraiser pairs community members with experienced drag mentors to take the stage in support of LGBTQIA+ causes. Six teams bring their own creativity, community connections and fundraising energy to the competition.
This year’s event will benefit Kind Clinic, Out Youth, allgo and Equality Texas, four organizations supporting LGBTQIA+ Texans through health care, youth services, community building and advocacy. One hundred percent of event proceeds will directly support the nonprofit beneficiaries.
Co-Chairs Billy Mercer and Shelby Evans will help lead this year's event as Unite the Fight continues to grow and evolve. The Real Estate Dolls will join as hosts, and Willam will return as this year’s featured performer and lead judge.
Since its founding, Unite the Fight has raised more than $2 million and now brings together more than 1,500 attendees each year, with more than 50 performers and participants helping bring the event to life.

- Parking: Guests are welcome to park at the Fairmont Austin or use valet service. However, rideshare and alternative parking options are highly encouraged, as we are expecting nearly 1,000 guests. Using rideshare or parking elsewhere may make arrival and navigation easier.
