Car Burglary Suspects Sought By Austin Police

According to police, a resident reported spotting two men attempting to break into cars along the 1900 block of Aldrich on Jan. 1.

AUSTIN, TX — Police seek the public's help in identifying a pair of suspected car burglars in North Austin.

According to the Austin Police Department, a resident reported spotting two men attempting to break into cars along the 1900 block of Aldrich Street on Jan. 1 just before 10 p.m. After reviewing camera surveillance video, detectives were able to extrapolate still images of the suspects.

Those images have since been released by police in the hopes someone might recognize them and alert detectives as to their identities and/or location. Police noted one of the suspects has a tattoo on his right hand, as shown below:

Those with information that could prove useful to the police investigation are urged to call detectives at (512) 974-5320. Tipsters are asked to reference case number 20-0012337 in alerting police.
