CBRE Austin Raises Record $70K For Charity In Recent Golf Bash

AUSTIN, TX — CBRE, a commercial real estate services firm, raised more than $70,000 — a new record — at its recent annual Charity Golf Bash in Austin this year benefiting a half-dozen area nonprofits.

The event is organized by the firm’s Austin employees and the money raised will be donated to six local nonprofit organizations, company officials said in a press advisory.

“Our team members work extremely hard each year to make sure this event is a success, " Scott Senese, senior managing director of CBRE’s Central Texas region, said in a prepraed statement. "I am always amazed and proud of the dedication exhibited by each of the employees who volunteers his or her time for this event. Since 2013, our Austin employees have raised more than $500,000 for charity through philanthropic events."

This year’s event, staged at TopGolf, benefits the following organizations:

• Austin Habitat for Humanity (in support of CBRE's Shelter Program);
• CASA of Travis County;
• Any Baby Can;
• Caritas of Austin;
• Explore Austin;
• Helping Hand Home.

“The success of this event would be un-achievable without the overwhelmingly generous support and sponsorship received from many of Austin’s real estate service providers," Elyse Kaire, CBRE Cares Austin co-chair and a senior operations analyst at the company, said in a prepared statement. Seeing everyone come together to raise funds in support of wonderful local causes is truly inspiring.”

CBRE officials noted that this year’s event featured a silent auction, a raffle, golf with TopGolf professionals and a wine ring toss. CBRE Foundation, a nonprofit, public benefit corporation that funds the company’s philanthropic initiatives, will match a portion of funds raised, further amplifying the event’s success, officials added.
