2) A man was killed by an Austin Police Department SWAT officer during a standoff situation in Southeast Austin. KXAN reports that APD received a call to the 6200 block of Caddie Street in Southeast Austin at about 9:30 a.m. on Friday morning. The original call came in as a family disturbance, but when APD arrived they said the man was walking around in the street with a gun in his hand. After hours of de-escalation attempts, police said the man was shot after he reached for a weapon in his waistband. Head to KXAN to learn more about this story.
