Cliff Diver Seriously Injured In Northeast Travis County
Medics were dispatched to Grisham Trail just after 7 p.m. to aid an adult patient left in critical, life-threatening condition after dive.
AUSTIN, TX —A person who jumped from a cliff into a body of water in northwestern part of Travis County Thursday evening sustained life-threatening injuries, medics said.
The incident occurred along the 4500 block of Grisham Trail just after 7 p.m., Austin-Travis County EMS medics alerted via Twitter. Amid reports the person had not resurfaced, rescuers were able to later find the person as medics reported. Aiding Austin-Travis EMS medics were those from the Lake Travis Fire Department and the Pedernales Fire Department, according to the tweet.
After what medics described as 35 minutes of resuscitation efforts, the injured adult was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center via a StarFlight medical hospital. Medics described the person's condition as critical and life-threatening.
