Coronavirus: 1 More Death Reported In Williamson County
A man in his 40s is the latest victim of respiratory illness in Williamson County where the historical death count is 35.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — Another person has died of the coronavirus in Williamson County, health officials said on Sunday.
Williamson County and Cities Health District said the historical fatality count remained at 35 because the death of a man in his 70s ultimately could not be confirmed to be a coronavirus-positive death. Health officials on June 26 reported three new deaths before subtracting one from the official fatality count.
The latest victim succumbing to the respiratory illness reported on Sunday was a man in his 40s, health officials said. The health district is precluded from providing further details given patient privacy laws, officials noted.
