Coronavirus Cases In Travis County Near 2,800; No New Deaths
More than 975 people have now recovered from COVID-19 in Travis County, the disease caused by the new coronavirus.

AUSTIN, TX — For the first time since May 9, the coronavirus case count increased by less than 30 in Travis County on Saturday.
The number of new cases of the virus jumped by 27 on Saturday, which brings the total illness count to 2,788, according to the Austin Public Health Department.
There were no new coronavirus related deaths reported in Travis County on Saturday.

Here is the daily coronavirus case count over the past six days in Travis County:
- Saturday: 27
- Friday: 47
- Thursday: 68
- Wednesday: 49
- Tuesday: 58
- Monday: 78
According to the dashboard, 976 people have recovered from the virus in the county and 83 people have died.
Health officials continue to urge those exhibiting symptoms of respiratory illness — including cough, fever and shortness of breath — to contact their health care providers. However, health officials stress the importance of calling ahead before arriving at a clinic, urgent care or emergency department to avoid potential spread.
