Dell Children’s Is Now Center of Excellence in Pediatric Sedation
Society for Pediatric Sedation recognizes Dell Children's for safe, high-quality pediatric sedation care
Dell Children's Medical Center, after extensive and rigorous review, has met the highest quality standards of the Society for Pediatric Sedation, thereby earning the designation of Center of Excellence in Pediatric Sedation.
“With all the work the sedation staff has done in collaboration with anesthesia to ensure that patients receive the best and safest care, this recognition means a well-deserved acknowledgment of that hard work,” said Anna Rivera, Sedation Services Supervisor at Dell Children’s. “Our sedation team is vital to the success of the organization, and this national recognition establishes our place among other well-known pediatric health institutions.”
The Society for Pediatric Sedation’s Center of Excellence designation recognizes pediatric sedation services for their work in safe, high-quality pediatric procedural sedation care as well as ongoing quality improvement. It is a rigorous application process, with less than 50% of new applications in recent years receiving the designation.
The Center of Excellence in Pediatric Sedation designation is active for four years, from May 2024 through April 2028. Congratulations to Dell Children’s on this important achievement!
