Dell Children’s opens new Maternal Care Center
New Maternal Care Center for mothers with complex fetal conditions
Dell Children’s announced the opening of a new Maternal Care Center which allows for the highest level of specialized care before, during and after delivery at Dell Children’s. Mothers diagnosed with complex and rare fetal conditions who are patients of the Comprehensive Fetal Care Center at Dell Children’s will now be able receive their obstetrical care at the Maternal Care Center on site.
The Maternal Care Center is a clinical collaboration between Dell Children’s and UT Health Austin, the clinical practice of the Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin. The Maternal Care Center is located at Dell Children's Speciality Pavilion and is part of the Comprehensive Fetal Care Center.
“The close proximity of these two centers allows for seamless communication between fetal medicine specialists and obstetricians. Highly experienced obstetricians work collaboratively with the entire fetal care team to provide comprehensive care to both mother and baby,” said Dr.
Michael Nix, Maternal Medical Director at Dell Children’s Specialized Delivery Unit.
