Dell Children's named Hospital of the Year by Mended Little Hearts
Heart award was presented to Dell Children's cardiac care team
Dell Children’s Medical Center has been named the 2022 Southwest Region "Hospital of the Year" by Mended Little Hearts, an organization for patients with congenital heart disease and their families.
The award was presented to Dell Children's cardiac care team for its outstanding care and support for pediatric heart patients and their families. Dana Henning, coordinator for Mended Little Hearts of Austin presented the award, and she was joined by other Dell Children's families.
Mended Little Hearts supports families with “Bravery Bags” for patients in the cardiac care unit, the bags include personal essentials for a hospital stay as well as important guidance such as questions to ask care providers and how to seek more information about the care plan.
