Direct Orthopedic Care Opens Third Central Austin Clinic
Immediate access orthopedic-only clinic treating pediatric to geriatric orthopedic conditions to open on Guadalupe Street, officials said.

AUSTIN, TX — Officials with Direct Orthopedic Care, an immediate access orthopedic-only clinic treating pediatric to geriatric orthopedic conditions, said Monday they will open a third location in the greater Austin area along Guadalupe Street.
"This additional location demonstrates the growing need for immediate access orthopedic care in this active city," officials said in a press advisory. The new DOC office, which will be open for business on May 21, specializes in minor to serious orthopedic injuries and chronic conditions in adults and children, officials said.
Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Dr. Darryl Thomas will lead a team of orthopedic-speciality trained physician assistants, x-ray technicians and physical therapists, officials said. Patients at the new DOC facility will have immediate access to orthopedic care, with no long wait time and no high facility fees like hospital emergency rooms charge, according to officials.

“At DOC our goal is to bring our services closer to where people live and play,” David Hassinger, founder and CEO of Direct Orthopedic Care, said in a prepared statement. “With this third location, the residents of downtown Austin and the university area will have a more convenient choice for immediate orthopedic care where they don’t have to spend time in traffic and can get back to their daily activities more quickly.”
DOC officials said those visiting the clinic will receive the same quality orthopedic care they have come to expect from other DOC locations in the area with services available seven days a week, including access to digital x-ray, ultrasound, joint injection and physical therapy capabilities. Additionally, DOC offers a complete line of Regenerative Medicine options including Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), Stem Cell and Amnion therapies. Anyone with an orthopedic issue, from an acute injury to chronic pain can be seen in minutes by a Board-certified orthopedic specialist without an appointment, officials added.

“In addition to a more convenient location, DOC strives to be in-network with all insurance providers to ensure co-pays and out-of-pocket charges are kept to the lowest amounts possible,” Hassinger said. “This cost effectiveness coupled with care from best-in-class orthopedic surgeons, is why the demand for our service in Austin continues to grow.”
The new DOC office is located at 3110 Guadalupe Street, Suite 100, with office hours from Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday from noon to 6 p.m., with no appointment necessary. For more information, visit www.directorthocare.com.
