Dog Restaurant Week Returns To Austin

Festivities kick off Monday, July 22, with Yappy Hour dog party at Rustic Tap, with four other eateries also offering special doggie menus.

AUSTIN, TX — Local restaurants will be going to the dogs later this month, but in a good way: Edible Austin has partnered with Tito's Vodka for Dog People for year two of Dog Restaurant Week in Austin.

Festivities kick off Monday, July 22, with a Yappy Hour dog party at Rustic Tap from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and from July 22 to 28, pooches are welcome to patios for fantastic doggie menu items (think puppy pastries and beef sliders) while their humans cool off with a specialty cocktail for humans. A portion of proceeds will benefit local animal nonprofits such as Emancipet, Blue Dog Rescue, Forgotten Friends, Friends of Austin Animal Center, and Avery's Angels.

After its debut in Austin last year, Dog Restaurant Week has expanded to Louisville, Nashville, Santa Fe, and Albuquerque, NM this year. Participating restaurants include:
