Drizzly, Foggy Weather Ushers In Spring-Like Weather Upon Austin

AUSTIN, TX — We can see clearly now as the rain is gone, and we can see all obstacles in our way. After several days of drizzly, fog-suffused weather in the Austin area, the weekend calls for sunny skies amid spring-like weather.

In other words, it's going to be a bright, bright sunshiny day. At least Sunday and Monday, that is, when the National Weather Service predicts the high temperature is expected to climb to 75 degrees. But more on that later, let's break down what's ahead on the weather front for the coming days.

Today (that's Friday, Jan. 31, if you're reading this after the fact) is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high near 57. North wind will blow gently between 5 to 10 miles per hour. By nightfall, mostly clear conditions will remain, and the low temperature will be around 40 degrees (so keep that comforter handy). Those aforementioned winds will lessen in intensity to around 5 miles per hour after midnight, forecasters noted.
