Drum Roll Please: The Lyftie Awards For Austin Are....

Ride-sharing firm Lyft announces awards recognizing city's most-visited including Barton Springs Pool, Rainey Street, Stubbs Bar-B-Q.

AUSTIN, TEXAS — They might not have the high level of recognition as the Oscars or yield the accomplishment gravitas of the Grammys, yet this year's Lyftie Awards winners were revealed on Thursday.

The ride-sharing firm Lyft is celebrating the fourth iteration of its annual awards aimed at recognizing the most popular destinations in cities across the country. This year, Lyft has expanded the Lyfties to celebrate bars, concerts, gyms, neighborhoods and more destinations in 45 markets, including Austin.

It's the latest bit of news from Lyft, which this week announced it would add its fleet of electric scooters to Austin. That influx of e-scooters adds to those from industry rivals Uber, Lime and Bird already being used across the city.
